WITH MARIE TANAGRAS · WE’RE OUTSIDEWHAT BEING A TRAVEL ADVISOR ACTUALLY MEANS
Helping someone travel well takes curiosity, organization, clear communication, and follow-through. Here’s where you come in.
Ask about dates, budget, travel style, and priorities. Get clear on what the client needs before you start researching.
Learn the booking platforms, compare suitable options, explain the terms, and help clients make informed decisions.
Track payments, deadlines, confirmations, and supplier requirements. Communicate clearly before and during the trip.
Let people know what you offer, follow up on inquiries, and deliver a service that gives travelers a reason to return.
IN BUSINESS FOR YOURSELF, BUT NEVER BY YOURSELF
I work within the Archer / Evolution travel-business structure. You bring the willingness to learn; the available training and support help you get oriented.
Learn the industry, booking procedures, supplier tools, and the basics of running a travel business.
Your support starts with setup and stays available throughout your journey—for booking help, supplier questions, content brainstorming, business growth, or mapping out your next steps.
Connect with other agents, ask questions, and keep building your skills as you learn the business.
Work remotely and organize your business around your life, while making time to serve your clients.
LET’S GET CLEAR ON THE OPPORTUNITY
No. You are not expected to know the travel industry before you begin. You will have step-by-step training to help you learn the booking process, supplier platforms, client service, and the foundations of running your travel business. As you grow, supplier trainings, the agent community, and ongoing support from Marie help you continue building your knowledge.
This is your own independent travel business, not a salaried job with Marie. You will build client relationships and organize your work, but you will not be handed a login and left to figure everything out alone. Training covers the booking process, client conversations, business organization, and ways to grow. You will also have resources, a community of agents, and ongoing 1:1 support from Marie when you need guidance.
Travel advisors can earn commissions on eligible travel bookings under the supplier and host agreement. Your training explains how commissions are calculated, how to identify commissionable bookings, how to track them, and when payments are typically issued. Income is not guaranteed, but you will be taught how the compensation process works so you can build your business with clear expectations.
Yes. You can build your travel business around your current work and personal schedule. The training and support help you create a manageable routine for learning, responding to clients, researching trips, handling booking details, and following up. You choose when you work while developing the consistency your business needs to grow.
Yes. Your support is ongoing, not limited to one new-agent meeting. We begin with a 1:1 to help you get situated, and my calendar remains available throughout your journey. Whether you need booking help, have supplier questions, want to brainstorm content, need help growing your travel business, or want to map out your next steps, you can schedule time with me.
Not automatically. Travel-industry opportunities and personal travel benefits vary by supplier, eligibility, availability, and program terms. You will learn how to find legitimate agent opportunities, verify the requirements, and use any benefits appropriately. The heart of the business is still helping travelers plan and book their trips professionally.
